We're Engaged!!!! Double click the pictures for a bigger view

Ryan has made me the happiest woman alive!!! While visiting family in Florida, he took me down to a deck overlooking the beach, led me to the edge and when I looked down I saw "Will You Marry Me" written in the sand! He dropped down on one knee, presented a ring that he knows I adored and asked me to marry him. I've been in love with him practically since the first moment I met him. He's so gentle and yet so strong. When we first met my heart pounded so wildly when he was near, I felt like a small, scared animal next to him. But he's so gentle and treats me just like a princess. I feel so safe with him. He protects me and takes care of me. He's so loving and such a romantic... I've never known anyone like him. He makes me laugh constantly. Fate intervened that day when we met on the train. I tried to fly or rent a car for my trip, he wondered why he was even going on his, but we met on that train and I am so grateful. I guess God really was listening to my prayers. After more than five years together our love just seems to grow more everyday. Just when I think it can't get any better...it does. I'm so excited...I can't wait to be his wife.

We did meet on a train. I was going to Chicago to see my mom and my best friend was with me. As Lisa and I were getting out of the car I saw this big guy and something about him really intrigued me. But I had just come out of a bad relationship and so I just turned around and walked away. I saw him again inside the station. As I was walking away from the ticket counter, he was walking towards it and our eyes met. I felt a "ZING" go through me but I thought to myself "down girl" you need some time.
My friend and I were calling this trip a "girls freedom tour" because we were both just out of terrible relationships. Anyway, at lunchtime, they seated us in the dining car with a couple of guys (to save space). One of the guys was Ryan. He made me laugh so hard, I liked him right away. When dinnertime rolled around, I walked into the dining car and asked to be seated with them again should they come in. The guy told me that he would seat us together and that Ryan had already asked to sit with me. In fact, it wasn't an accident that we sat together at lunch, as I thought it was. He had described me to the guy earlier and asked him to seat us together. After dinner, we stayed up talking into the night. We agreed that we would get together a month later when my semester was over and he was finished with the movie that he was working on. A month later, he was back and we went to lunch together. We've been inseperable every since. That was a little over 5 1/2 years ago. We're more in love all the time.
